Our system works by making ships more attractive to charterers, ports and terminals, insurers and other parties if they are owned and managed by companies that have:
- Demonstrated better than average PSC and casualty performance
- Joined RightShip-recognised industry bodies including Intertanko, and/or
- Gained RightShip-recognised accreditation such as Green Award.
Our system uses available data about owners in risk evaluations – we do not normally contact owners directly for information.
However, owners often contact us because they have questions, concerns or comments about our system and vetting services, or how RightShip “approval” is being used in insurance, loan or charter agreements.
