“I am looking forward to my term as Chairman of RightShip, and thank Jonathon for his leadership during his term”, Alastair said. “With the other Directors, I’ll aim to support and guide our management team as they continue to grow RightShip’s positive influence on vessel standards and meet the challenges of the dynamic market environment in global shipping.”
Under their joint venture agreement, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto Marine and Cargill Ocean Transportation each appoint two directors to RightShip’s board, with the Chairmanship rotated among Directors from the three companies on two-year terms.
