OUR CUSTOMERS

RightShip's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Rating is used by charterers, financial institutions, shipowners and ports to assist in vessel selection, and provide rewards to the more environmentally sustainable ships.

One in five vessels, representing over 2 billion dwt, are selected using RightShip's GHG Emissions Rating tool. This is available to customers through RightShip's online risk management platform, and to non-customers (free of charge) through www.shippingefficiency.org

Ports

Two west-coast Canadian ports, Prince Rupert Port Authority and Port Metro Vancouver, use RightShip's GHG Emissions Rating to reward the more environmentally efficient vessels by way of reduced port fees.

Prince Rupert's Green Wave Program rewards all RightShip 'A' rated vessels with the higher (Tier 3) discount of 50% of harbour due rates. In 2014 alone, 45% of calls at PRPA were recognised under the Green Wave Program and rewarded with discounted port dues. Three quarters of these were rewarded through RightShip's environmental ratings.

Port Metro Vancouver's EcoAction program rewards ships with up to 47% off harbour dues. In 2014 alone 520 vessels qualified for discounts under the EcoAction program, which like PRPA's Green Wave Program, uses a range of measures including RightShip's GHG Rating.
